THE REALITY OF OUR WORK
The TAG team does all of this community work through our own passion and labor and the direct support of our community. We are a group of women with marginalized identities and shared experiences that have come together to co-create change and healing within our communities. We saw a need for this work and had the shared desire to build something and to fight for our own autonomy and liberation by any means necessary. We are not paid salaries, we are not grant funded, and our work is directly impacted by seasonal change (and climate change). Let's take care of each other.

ON RECIPROCAL EXCHANGE
While we have relationships with nonprofits and have worked with many throughout the years, we do not wish to operate the business as a 501c3. We want to be accountable to those we serve and do not want to be solely dependent on grants. We want to participate in mutually beneficial forms of support where folks are truly invested in healing and liberation and see a relationship with the land as a beautiful means of doing so. It is our hope that The Abolition Garden allows you to feel good about where your money is being redistributed, while collectively creating lasting change in the community.
